End of the year fun!

It was a whirlwind couple weeks for the end of the school year! There were spring programs where they got to proclaim the name of Jesus yet again through song, dance, and hand bells. There were parties, field trips, movies, awards, last car pool, etc... At the final chapel we were so excited to see Andrew and Braden up front helping our friend, Mrs. Kellie, lead the whole lower school through about 3 of their favorite songs through sign language! Andrew got some awards for his participation in Knowledge Masters and the PSIA spelling competition! Their teachers sang their praises and it did a Mom's heart good!

Thanks be to God for making it possible for Andrew and Braden to attend LSA! Thanks to Mrs. Robbins and Mrs. Seybold for loving the boys where they are and encouraging and holding them accountable! It takes a village... :)

My Little Einstein

Colton was watching "Curious George" one day and then came running asking if he could get some water to make a rainbow! He was SO excited! I helped him get some water in a cup and then I asked if he might need some light... so, he light up and said, "My flashlight!" He ran up to get it and then shined the light into the water. The results were not as he had hoped, so he got some paper, markers, and scissors and made a rainbow and attached it to the flashlight with tape so that he would get the results he intended! We've got another science guy on our hands! :)

Thank you, God, for the gift of knowledge! :)

Captain Jack's Birthday Party!

We had so much fun celebrating one of our favorite 4 year olds! Jack is one of Colton's best buddies! The afternoon was filled with swimming, Braden doing all sorts of tricks down the slide and off the rock wall, Colton swimming with Daddy, Andrew hangin' with his friends and playing Legos, and me taking pics and chatting and eating (three of my favorite things)!

Happy Birthday, Jack! God made you so awesome and we love you! :)

Happy Mother's Day to me!

It was a wonderful Mother's Day! I was greeted with hugs, smiles, and home made cards and a book about mothers! Then there was a balloon and corsage to wear to church! Also, I had bought myself a new glider and pillows, table, and wreath for the front porch. So, Tom put the glider together for me for Mother's Day! We went to church and lunch with our friends, the Swiggards, to Mexican (of course)! Then it was home for some of the "honey do" projects and then we went to Sprinkles for dinner! It is a new yogurt place. So fun to put your choice of yogurt in the cup and go to the sprinkle bar to add whatever you like. Then we played two rounds of Uno while we were there! What a fun day to be together! Good behavior from the boys and hugs made the day so great! :)

Thanks for the wonderful example you are to our boys, Tom! I Love you! :)

Fantastic Fort Worth Weekend!

Tom working many LONG hours + Andrew's State PSIA spelling competition = opportunity for an awesome family extended weekend! It was so wonderful to get away from everything and focus on family and fun! We toured the Texas Motor Speedway, beat our time for the Human Maze at the Stockyards, watched the cattle drive, ate at Steak-N-Shake, rode a train around Herman Park, visited Log Cabin Town, and celebrated Andrew not placing in the top 6 this year! We were so proud of his attitude and the fact that he humbly represented his school! The words were SO hard this year! On the way home we visited the Sam Houston statue and ate at Chuy's! Thanks, God, for time together and thanks to Andrew for making it possible! :)
